Giveing

       Giving God his 10%????  Today before I left work I was asked  if tomarrow I could show where in the Bible did it say we are to give 10%????????? Well I have some answers: Genesis 28:22 “And this stone which I have set as a pillar shall be God’s house, and of all that You give me I will surely give a tenth to you.”   Numbers 18:25-26 Then the Lord spoke to Moses saying , ” Speak thus to the Levites, and say to them: When you take from the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them as your inheritance, the you shall offer up a heave offering of it to the Lord, a tenth of the tithe. And then in Hebrews 7:5  And indeed those who are of the sons of Levi, who receive the priesthood, have a commandment to receive tithes from the people according to the law, that  is, from their brethren, though they have come from the loins of Abraham; 7:6 but he whose genealogy is not derived from them received tithes from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises.  So you see God wants us to give 10% and He will bless us for that but the true blessings come when we go above  the 10% and give our all to Him, just like the poor widow who gave her two mites, she gave her all.. We need to stop and ask ourselves is it going to hurt us if we give to God what is His,  after all if it was not for Him we may not have a place tow eat, sleep, or work. God bless you all……………………

Taking things for granted

I was just thinking alot of times we take things for granted, In the past few weeks I have taken my wife for granted in several things. She is the most wonderful woman in the world, she has been working 3 or 4 partime and one fulltime job to try and keep our family running till I start my new job on the 12th of this month, and I guess I expected her to come home and do everyting here, i.e. laundry,dishes ect., but I know now that that was not being the husband I should have been. Traci I want you to know that  I do love you and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Next I have learend that I also took God for granted for a long time just thinking that He was there and everything was going to be allright without me asking, man was I ever worng. I have found out in the  last few months that if you ask, God will listen and if you will listen, He will answer.  It may not be the answer that you want to hear but it will be the answer that He has for you. If you ask for God’s help, He will help you. Matthew 7:7-8  “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opend. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”  All you have to do is ask, and  God will help, He is not going to drop every thing in your lap, you have got to be willing to help yourself. Remember to pray for our leaders, the sick, your family,  your wife, your husbands, and those who are lost and do not know God and His power and glory. Till next time, God Bless, Jimmy

Beautiful day the Lord has made

Every day is a beautiful day that the Lord has made even if it is cold and raining, or hot and dry.just knowing that He is with us and watching over us makes it a good day.  I have a lot to be thankful for today, I have some wonderful friends that I got to spend time in Christian fellowship last evening. It made me stop to think where I would be without them. As of now it is official I have the job that God prepared for me, I received the call this a.m. telling me the background check was good and to be at work at 9:00 a.m. on the 12th. (working 9 to 6 what a way to make a living ……………….. it’s all good)   As I close this one please remember to pray for the following people Julie, Bret, Pam, Buddy, my wife, Traci, my daughter, Katie, the people at Oak street outreach, Dee, and his family, the leadership of this Country that We call home, and for myself that God may use me the way he sees fit for His honor and glory……….Amen            Your Brother in Christ Jimmy

What a day!!!!

Man,where to start. God is sometimes too great it seems.  I know that there is nothing that he can’t do. Yesterday, I went with a friend to get food for another friend’s ministry, (or as he calls it a Training center for Jesus Christ).  God knew what they needed long before we did.  He knew how much we had to spend and did not let us go over that set amount.  The trip to Tyler and back went great, also.  The Lord got us there and back with no problems.  Man I wish everyone I know could have been there to receive the blessing that I did when they unloaded the supplies.  The looks on their faces and the way that they praised and gave thanks to God.  After every thing was unloaded and put away I got to minister to a couple of the people who are staying there and what do u think happened?  You guessed it, I received another blessing…I tell you this why? Because God is good!!!  Let me close this one with this…….John 13:16-17 Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him.   If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.   Have a blessed day in the Lord ……Jimmy
