Hello world!

I want to welcome each and every one of you to Leap of Faith. I would like to share with you how this blog title came to be.
God has truly blessed my family in so many ways. I had been a truck driver for over 11 years, when my family decided that I need to be part of their lifes for more than 4 to 6 days out of each month. I prayed about this over the next couple of weeks, as I had already felt that God had bigger plans out there for me and my family. This seemed to be the reassurance that I needed to know that God really was speaking to me. As I prayed about this, God started opening some very recognizable doors for us.
I had left out one afternoon, when I received a phone call from my mother, telling me that a friend of the family, from church had said that there were fixing to be some openings at his office. I immediately prayed about this and asked God to show me if this was the job that He had for me. So, the next morning, I contacted this friend of mine and asked him what the position entailed. He told me that he would get an application for me and drop it off by Traci’s (my wife) office. The main thing was that I had to sit behind a desk for 8 hours a day, and if I could sit in the driver’s seat of the truck for 10 hours, then 8 hours would be no problem.
The application made it to Traci’s office. She brought it home and waited for me to get home on time off, so that I could fill it out and get it turned back in. I made it back through town that weekend. The application was turned in and I was back on the road.
The fellow from church and I spoke and he told me that he had spoke with the people that would be doing the interviewing and that it looked like I might get an interview. He wanted to know when I would be home on time off and I told him around the end of the month. As it turned out, I would have to be readily available for an interview when they called. I called everyone I could think of and had them start praying that they wouldn’t call until I could get home.
God’s hand has been in this from the beginning and I can see that more and more clearly now. God had this all scheduled and as it turned out, I got home on the 16th. We had been praying that God would work everything out and man did He ever! I received a phone call on the 23rd from them saying that they wanted to interview me on the 24th @ 11 a.m. Praise the Lord for allowing me to be home to receive the phone call and to be home for the interview!!!
I went on to the interview and did the tests and Praise the Lord, filled out all of the paperwork (pending a background check) and got word that I would be starting on the 12th of November.
Praise Him for allowing everything to work together for good to those who love the Lord!!!
Thanks to everyone who has prayed for this and for my family, you mean the world to us and we pray for God to richly bless you and your families.
